  • One of my favorite tropes of 1980s cartoons is the portrayal of evil organizations as poorly managed. Compared to the heroes, the villains are all too selfish and self-centered to work effectively as a team. The real thing holding back Skeletor isn’t He-Man, it’s his own inability to execute a plan without a lot of name calling, infighting, and back stabbing. In other words, because he doesn’t play well with others.
