Once again, I find myself in a rush to complete my sketch class writing assignment. I find myself drawn to everything but the activity of writing a sketch. I sort of resent that I “have to” do this when I could be working on any of a dozen open software projects right now. (Of course, when I don’t have a sketch writing assignment, my motivation to write software diminishes.)
Should I take this as a sign that writing is not for me?

No. Miles Klee once said that nobody likes writing, they just like having written. Hating it is part of what makes you know you’re a writer.
