This is what real friendship looks like. British best friends Barry Delaney and Kevin Elliot made a pact: If one of them was to die early, the other had to attend the funeral in a dress. Around the same time, Elliot joined the army.
Tragically, Elliot was killed while defending his platoon-mates during an RPG attack in Afghanistan. Crippled by grief but still a man of his word, Delaney donned a short, bright-green dress and pink socks to attend his best buddy’s funeral, fulfilling his end of the pact.
Delaney is obviously to be commended for this brave act of loyalty, but I can think of no one I could ever respect more than a man who not only gave his life fighting for his country, but then proceeded to own his best friend from the grave.
Rock on, Barry. Rock on, Kevin.
“Own his best friend from the grave”? That assumes Fear is what drove Delaney to don a green dress. Clearly this is Love.
This is really sad =(
I think he meant own like p0wn. Like even in death, he made his friend look silly. But yes, this is love. and it rules.
“Own his best friend from the grave”?...what drove Delaney to don a green dress. Clearly...
This seems like something any of us in the Riverhouse crew are capable of. Let it be known, boys: I want all of you in...
beautiful and sad.
that is friendship people.
